What inspired you to develop the Quantum Leadership Programme, and why is it better than other programmes?
What is experiential learning and how does it add value?
Leaving theory behind, it’s about experiencing the realities of leadership in the real world. Experiential learning can fast track understanding, and challenges delegates in ways other training simply doesn’t.
What are the blended learning options and can we stick to a single method of delivery?
If you want a blend, your options are: face-to-face or live online training, eLearning, digital games, coaching/buddying, experiential learning. If you’d prefer to stick to one method then works for us – it’s your programme, so your choice!
Can eLearning, as part of blended learning, enhance learning?
Yes, it can! Here’s a few options for how you might use eLearning to enhance the overall learning experience: setting the scene ahead of a live session, covering off basic knowledge that doesn’t need discussion around it, a refresher of learning following a live session, providing access to learning for those who prefer self–study.
Why include digital games?
The Forgetting Curve (Ebbinghaus) shows us we forget 50% of new information within an hour and retain only 25% after a week. Games are a great way to reinforce and embed knowledge, reducing the likelihood of ‘forgetting’. Plus, they’re fun and add in competition for those delegates who like a challenge!
Is coaching a critical component of a leadership/management programme?
In our experience, coaching makes all the difference when it comes to getting a return on investment (ROI) from programmes. Whether group or 1-2-1 coaching, it’s about exploring ideas in more depth, having discussions about how to apply learning, feeling supported, and being held accountable. The more managers apply their learning, the more ROI organisations will see.
Does experiential learning have to include humanitarian projects, or can it include projects our leaders more easily relate to?
It can be any project that creates value for you, but humanitarian projects add a unique dimension. Leaders learn more when pushed out of their comfort zones. This is about accelerating learning, not just not about just having fun working on a community initiative – though it can be both!
